I was diagnosed with autism from a young age and have never felt like I truly fit in with society. One place I always felt that I belong is in musical theatre. There are many roles I can relate to such as Elsa and Elphaba due to them being outcasts in society; and on the flip of the coin, I also relate to characters like Javert due to the rigidness of the role and everything being black and white in his thinking. I have always dreamed of performing on the West End stage, so this competition will help me showcase my talents to a wider audience. My purpose for taking part in this competition is to show that with the right support and encouragement there is nothing anyone on the spectrum canβt do, so a vote for me is a vote for autistics everywhere.
