Participation I voluntarily agree to participate as a contestant or contributor in auditions, interviews, performances, rehearsals, backstage filming, livestreams and other recordings connected with Britain's Next Superstar ("the Programme"). I understand that participation does not guarantee selection, progression, broadcast, employment, representation, a prize or any other benefit. 2. Recording consent I consent to the Producer and its authorised representatives recording my image, voice, likeness, name, performance, statements, biographical information and activities by video, audio, photography or any other method. I understand that filming may begin before I enter the audition room and may include registration, waiting areas, backstage activity, interviews, rehearsals and reactions. 3. Live and unedited filming I understand that some or all of the Programme may be recorded, transmitted or streamed live or with limited delay. Because live material may be transmitted without prior editing, I accept responsibility for the language, statements, conduct and material I contribute during filming. The Producer cannot guarantee that material transmitted live can be withdrawn from every third-party platform, recording, archive, search result, social-media post or unauthorised copy after transmission. Nothing in this clause prevents the Producer from editing, restricting, removing or correcting material where reasonably required by law, regulation, safeguarding obligations, editorial judgment, court order or platform policy. 4. Rights granted To the fullest extent permitted by law, I grant the Producer an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right and licence to: record and photograph me; use my name, approved stage name, image, voice, likeness, performance and contribution; edit, reproduce, translate, subtitle, dub, adapt and combine the recordings with other material; broadcast, stream, exhibit, publish, advertise, promote and otherwise exploit the recordings; use excerpts, still images, trailers, clips and promotional material; authorise broadcasters, distributors, sponsors, licensees, platforms and affiliated companies to exercise those rights. These rights apply in all media and formats now known or developed in the future, throughout the world, for the full period permitted by law. The authorised uses include the Programme, Channel ONE TV, Britain's Next Superstar, the National Reality TV Awards, associated websites, video platforms, social-media channels, advertising, publicity, press, archives, compilations and programme promotion. 5. Editorial control I acknowledge that the Producer has sole editorial discretion regarding whether and how my contribution is used, subject to applicable law and broadcasting standards. The Producer may edit, shorten, rearrange, caption, subtitle or choose not to use my contribution. The Producer is not required to obtain my approval of the final programme, promotional material, title, editing, scheduling or distribution. 6. Conduct and language I agree that I will not knowingly: use racist, discriminatory, threatening or malicious language; harass, intimidate or endanger another person; make statements I know to be false or defamatory; disclose another person's confidential or private information without permission; promote hatred, violence or unlawful activity; deliberately damage the venue or production equipment; bring prohibited or dangerous items into the production area; act in a manner that materially disrupts the production. I understand that the Producer may stop my participation or remove me from the production if my conduct creates a safety, legal, editorial or safeguarding concern. 7. Music and other material I will tell the Producer in advance about any music, recordings, scripts, images, brands, clips or other third-party material I intend to use. I confirm that material supplied or created by me is either: my own original work; in the public domain; properly licensed; or otherwise lawfully available for my proposed use. I will follow any instructions from production regarding music substitutions, backing tracks, trademarks or copyrighted material. 8. Payment and revenue I understand that attending or participating in the audition is unpaid unless the Producer and I sign a separate written agreement stating otherwise. No appearance fee, royalty, residual, profit participation, advertising revenue, social-media revenue, licence fee or other payment will be owed to me solely because my contribution is recorded, broadcast, streamed, promoted or monetised. Nothing in this agreement requires me to pay an audition fee. Any competition prize or separately commissioned work will be governed by its own written terms. 9. No guarantee The Producer does not guarantee: that my contribution will be included; that the Programme will be completed or broadcast; a particular portrayal or amount of screen time; advancement in the competition; professional representation; employment or commercial success. 10. Personal information I acknowledge that the Producer will process my personal information for audition administration, production, contributor management, safeguarding, legal compliance, broadcasting, distribution and record keeping, as explained in the accompanying Privacy Notice. I understand that programme recordings may be distributed internationally, including in countries whose data-protection laws differ from those of the United Kingdom. Participation consent is separate from consent to receive unrelated marketing communications. 11. Complaints and concerns I will promptly raise any immediate welfare, safeguarding, factual or privacy concern with the production team. Nothing in this agreement excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, or prevents me from raising a legitimate concern with the Producer, a regulator, the police, a court or another competent authority. 12. Liability Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to the above, the Producer will not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from my voluntary participation. 13. Entire agreement This release contains the agreement relating to my recorded contribution unless replaced or supplemented by another written agreement signed by both parties. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. 14. Governing law This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any rights that legally apply in another jurisdiction. 15. Confirmation and electronic signature I confirm that: I have read and understood this agreement; I have had the opportunity to ask questions before signing; the details I provided are accurate; I am signing voluntarily; I intend my electronic signature to authenticate this agreement and be legally binding.
